It was a long first night for us and for the girls...
I first put them down in their beds about 7:00. I think with jet lag they weren't tired, but eventually they fell asleep together in the same bed. Roland and I went to bed at 8:00. Emily woke up at 9:00 crying. I rocked her back to sleep. 9:20 Ashley cries..she fell out of bed. Comforted her. Made a bed for both of them on the floor. Got a night light for their room. Went back to bed. 10:30 found them wandering around the hall.
Ok, plan B...Laid them down again, closed the door. Went back to bed. 11:00 heard a scratching at my door. Got up. Realized they can open doors. ahhh! What do I do? Changed their poopy diapers (Are twins on the same digestive schedule?!) Got the one pack'n play that we had. Put them both in it. Went back to bed to try and get some sleep...going on 40 hours with no sleep. My dear husband sleeping like a log next to me. : )
We'll have to regroup and come up with a better sleeping plan in the morning...
