Adoption news
We received good news today...The twins have been scheduled for their embassy appointment in Manila on May 18th! During this week long trip to Manila, the girls will have medical exams and will apply for their visas. If all goes well, we will travel several weeks after that! Please pray that the girls will not have TB. If they do, they will have to stay in the country several months longer for treatment.

Craigslist
I love Craigslist. Today I sold our kitchen table and a filing cabinet. I sold the table in five minutes and the filing cabinet I received calls within 15 minutes. The family usually complains that I price stuff too low. "Aah, you could have got more for that!" I'm just happy to have it gone. : )
We get a new kitchen table delivered tomorrow. It will seat all 7 of us plus several more with all the leaves in it. Dinner anyone?

More good news...
Last week we received the official paperwork from the Philippines (the "referral") matching us with the twins! It's really the final big step before we travel. Needless to say we were very excited. We were a little surprised, though, at how much paperwork needed to be filled out, signed, notarized, etc. to accept the referral.(Why this continually surprises us, I don't know!) We ended up spending $170.00 to get all the papers notarized! (At $8.00 per notary stamp, you can do the math....) Anyway, we were happy to complete all the paperwork and get that in the mail today! yipee. Several more months and then, Lord willing, we will travel to pick up our new daughters! My dad gave the final okay for my mom to join us, so all six of us will be traveling together. Praise God!
